When he was four years old the family moved to College Station, Texas, and when he was at the high school level, he knew he wanted to pursue acting. After trying the college system for three months, he said, "Things didn't really go my way and it wasn't working for us, so we needed to end our relationship." He moved to New York, where he attended the Circle in the Square Theatre School. The actors were again in a band for The Last Word. In the film, they played their on-screen love attraction. The movie was directed by Stuart Fink and directed by Mark Pellington, also starred Broadway legend Shirley MacLaine. When it was being shot, Sadoski had just divorced ex-wife Hope and Seyfried had separated from Long that September.
