Alice Englert

Alice Allegra Englert (born 15 June 1994) is an Australian actress who is also a director, writer, singer, and songwriter. Her most well-known work is her role as Rosa in the movie Ginger & Rosa (2012) as well as Lena Duchannes in the film Beautiful Creatures Alice Allegra Englert was born in Sydney[1] in June of 1994. She is the daughter of New Zealand filmmaker Jane Campion as well as Australian filmmaker Colin Englert. Her mother is the granddaughter to actress Edith Campion and theatre director Richard Campion. Her parents served in the military and she was sent to various places. Campion explains "I spent half of my existence on airplanes." New Zealand is a place I love. That is where the really imaginative, whimsical and artistic side of our family lived." Her schooling was in Australia, New Zealand, New York City, Rome and London and other places in England including The Sibford School, a Quaker school located in Oxfordshire.
